Practice Engine

Sam is racing in the highly competitive KA Junior class. This is a 2 cycle engine class which requires “blueprinting” for race day speed. These race engines require a rebuild after so many hours. For this reason, Sam has a backup practice engine on his “wish list'' so he doesn't need so many costly rebuilds throughout the race season. This is an expected cost of around $3,000.00.

Tires

Each race weekend requires at least one new set of tires. Each new set of tires runs approximately $200.00 depending on the series. This is an absolute necessity to stay competitive.

Race Fees

Each race that Sam enters will cost between $1,500 to $4,000. This will include his entry fees and mechanic fees. It will not include his pit fees and travel expenses. The amount of sponsorships Sam is able to attain will determine how many National races he will be able to run in.
